10 Things to do in Porto

This was the first spontaneous vacation that I have ever taken. Not spontaneous in the ‘let’s go party’ sense but spontaneous as in ‘nothing was planned.’ I have always been a meticulous planner when it came to itineraries and booking flights. I got lucky when I chose to visit Porto. It was exactly what I needed and it was very easy to just plan things day by day. The city of Porto is so small yet full of surprises. You don’t even have to take the metro anywhere. If you’re a walker, like me, you’ll enjoy walking to each destination.…

Simple yummy French crêpe recipe

For some reason, many people consider crêpe a foreign concept. Not because the yummy pancake has French origins but they just don’t know how to approach making crêpe in the kitchen. Maybe cause they think they need a crêpe maker or special flour. But no, making crêpe is actually really simple and you don’t need any fancy gadgets. Making crêpe is on a par with making pancakes. The batter is simple to make. Now, if you don’t want to make the batter every morning, you can make some a few days before and just save the batter in a jar.…

Taco Dumbo and Coffee

Spent a great afternoon seeing one of my good friends from college. She picked out a great tropical spot in the middle of NYC, Taco Dumbo. We were looking for a quick lunch and some good WiFi. Red phone boxes, the punk scene, and the Queen. That’s what comes to my mind when I think of London. Oh and the Duchess of Sussex! I didn’t see much of a punk scene anymore but the red phone boxes are still there and I was able to see the Queen’s face stamped on almost every food packaging. I visited right when the Duchess of Sussex was supposed to give birth to baby Archie. However, she gave birth on my first day back to the States which was so disappointing. But there were a number of other great things that…

Orange Blossom Almond Milk

I never wanted to try making almond milk more than when I discovered this recipe. I think it was the orange blossom water that intrigued me. It’s not a difficult recipe to follow and only requires two key ingredients: almonds and orange blossom water. Being that orange blossoms are not as popular as oranges, it may be tough to find at your local supermarket. You can find orange blossom water online or at a supermarket that sells international foods. The orange blossom water I used originated from Morocco.
