Watercolor & Italy

When I was on my trip in Italy, I really wanted to start my water color and urban sketching journey. However, inspiration didn’t hit because it was a fast-paced trip. I usually feel inspired to paint or sketch when there is nothing else to do. There are no worries, no responsibilities and I can lose myself in the process of painting. Not sure if anyone else can relate but it’s tough when your schedule is overbooked. So, that brings me to my solar return goal for 2023. I would like to start making it a habit to paint, at least,…

Photo prints in the shop

What do you guys think of my photo print from Lisboa? I absolutely love this photo of the red tram. I know that Lisbon is the land of yellow trams but this red one stood out more than the rest. The angle and colors of the street that also made the capture unique. I remember taking so many pictures of trams and finally settling on selling this one for my Etsy shop. It wasn’t an easy decision. I’ll look again at the yellow tram photos and see if any appeal to me now. Sometimes we need to step back from…

When nothing left to do, paint!

I’ve been dealing with a tore muscle for the past two weeks. Don’t know how it happened. For the first few days, I wasn’t able to do much of anything. I had to even call out of work. The only thing I was able to do a lot of is sketch and paint. I never knew how important my pectoralis muscle was until now. I couldn’t even lie…

Breakfasts, Coffee, and Art

Day number 30? I lost count at this point. The days consist of coming up with new breakfast ideas and improving my watercolor skills. Oh and making coffee! It’s something I look forward to every morning. What would we do without coffee? Hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, bananas and swiss cheese toast for breakfast may not be on your must-try list but it was pretty good. I love seeing the obscure breakfast combinations people come up with so I thought I should share mines. Other than this simple breakfast, I’ve been indulging in french toast and sausage. Yum! But it’s…

Keeping Busy at Home

Staying home for long periods of time can stir up feelings of boredom. After a few days you may think there is nothing left to do cause you’ve done it all. But it’s quite the contrary. There are plenty of things to do while home. I recently started sketching again to pass the time. I’m no pro at it so there is a lot of room for error and improvement. The same goes for any other new activity one may take up. If you can chop up your day into categories, you’ll realize there’s a lot you can do in…
