What a great night it was. I got invited to an event hosted by Maison Jules and Rach Martino at Ladurée. It was a beautiful night to encapsulate on French culture and it sure did. There was wine, classical music, hand written letters, and free goodies.
Who loves cooking? No one would think I’d raise my hand. After all, I’m only 23 years young. Heck, I probably don’t even know how to cook. All I know how to do is prep my makeup and toss my hair to the side. Well I’m happy to say that this is a big misconception.
Today we took a stroll in downtown Brooklyn. We ate apple tart and raspberry pastries at Paris Breakfasts and then took a lot of pictures across the street. A mini family photo shoot is never a dull idea. After dozens of pictures, we decided to take little Magdalene to Barnes & Noble. We’ve been there a couple of times before. The last time, she went crazy running around getting her petites mains on anything colorful. This time she mingled and socialized…in her own way of course. We tried reading her a book but she just couldn’t stay still. Instead, she moved on…
I’m currently reading The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake. I have to say that it’s a great book if you want to get to know more about Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, and Morocco. I love when it talks about Yves Saint Laurent fascination with Morocco’s culture and also his love story with Pierre Biergé.
Magdalene is truly an angel. This little photoshoot took us around 15 minutes until we got several great shots. She complied and was very happy with just kicking leaves and prancing around. Besides her shoe falling off a couple of times, this shoot was easy breezy in the autumn breeze. This is one of my greatest outfits because it looks mature and I wish I could get my hands on that dress.
