When nothing left to do, paint!

I’ve been dealing with a tore muscle for the past two weeks. Don’t know how it happened. For the first few days, I wasn’t able to do much of anything. I had to even call out of work. The only thing I was able to do a lot of is sketch and paint. It sounds ironic since my arm is messed up but thank goodness it’s my right arm that’s bad; my dominant left hand is doing well and has gotten me through so much. Breakfasts, Coffee, and Art

Day number 30? I lost count at this point. The days consist of coming up with new breakfast ideas and improving my watercolor skills. Oh and making coffee! It’s something I look forward to every morning. What would we do without coffee? Hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, bananas and swiss cheese toast for breakfast may not be on your must-try list but it was pretty good. Keeping Busy at Home

Staying home for long periods of time can stir up feelings of boredom. After a few days you may think there is nothing left to do cause you’ve done it all. But it’s quite the contrary. There are plenty of things to do while home. I recently started sketching again to pass the time. I’m no pro at it so there is a lot of room for error and improvement. Delacroix at The Met

This past weekend, I checked out the Delacroix exhibitions at the Met and I must say they brought me back to the place I love: Morocco. His paintings and sketches reminded me of how it felt to be on the streets of Meknes and Tangier. It gave my mind a great contrast to the everyday life in New York City.
