Day number 30? I lost count at this point. The days consist of coming up with new breakfast ideas and improving my watercolor skills. Oh and making coffee! It’s something I look forward to every morning. What would we do without coffee? Hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, bananas and swiss cheese toast for breakfast may not be on your must-try list but it was pretty good. I love seeing the obscure breakfast combinations people come up with so I thought I should share mines. Other than this simple breakfast, I’ve been indulging in french toast and sausage. Yum! But it’s…
I’ve had an obsession for Scandinavian decor, especially when it comes to kids’ rooms. I love the wood accents, reusing old pieces and even the raindrop decals. And there’s definitely something alluring about the simplicity and contrast between colors. 1. Wall Color I tried replicating the Scandinavian style for Magdalene. As you can see from the picture above, I chose a grey for the wall color. The paint is called Meteor Shower by Behr. I wanted to choose a grey with a hint of blue but decided it may not work when taking pictures. 2. Pops of Color and Texture…
We had so much fun this past weekend when we went to a family event at Ikea. The day began really early, at 6:30 to be precise. We had to wake up early to get there in time for Ikea’s Swedish American Breakfast. I never had it so I was excited to try it for the first time. They served eggs, sausage, potatoes, and crepe with cranberry jam. I was so happy they had crepe; I loved crepe ever since I first tried it on Bastille Day. I wasn’t so fond of the bitter cranberry jam though.
It’s currently raining here in New York. It’s almost starting to feel like April showers cause of the frequency. But rainy days are always perfect for online shopping especially when the baby is napping. And those times are always perfect to run into something expensive that you have been missing in your life. Of course I ran into something. I ran into my long lost fridge… a Smeg fridge.
