Scandinavian-Styled Kids’ Room

I’ve had an obsession for Scandinavian decor, especially when it comes to kids’ rooms. I love the wood accents, reusing old pieces and even the raindrop decals. And there’s definitely something alluring about the simplicity and contrast between colors. 1. Wall Color I tried replicating the Scandinavian style for Magdalene. As you can see from the picture above, I chose a grey for the wall color. The paint is called Meteor Shower by Behr. When I went to France back in March, I quickly noticed that foods were really different, starting with the packaging and ending with the taste. I had already known that the French take their food very seriously and care about where it comes from. But I had no idea that this also applied to how the food is packaged.

Christmas Day

Christmas was great this year. Not only did we celebrate the holiday but we also celebrated my sister’s birthday. The double celebration was all my niece’s idea; she wanted to do something special for my sister. And she did do something special. She did a wonderful job in picking out the decorations and setting them up. And of course my sister outdid herself with all of the yummy food. Highlights of My Life

I was browsing through some images and found some of my favorites. These pictures describe my life at this moment. The image above is a great salad I bought from Trader Joe’s; it’s very tasty! Giving Thanks for Family

Thanksgiving this year was a success! We went to my sister’s house to celebrate family and to give thanks. The food was made completely by my sister so kudos to her! Even though it’s not shown here, I promise it was a delicious feast. We brought some sparkling apple cider, coconut pie, and beer. We also bought this great drink called Ciderboys. It’s apple cider with 5% alcohol; very tasty but very light.
