Dominique Ansel in NYC

macarons

I finally stopped by the Dominque Ansel Bakery in Soho. And, I must say, I was very impressed by the variety of pastries. I remember he became popular in the city due to the invention of the cronut, a hybrid between a croissant and doughnut. That wasn’t exactly my motivation to visit the bakery but a box of macarons definitely was.

They have a new collection called Go Around the World. The collection consists of seven different pastries representing seven popular cities from around the world.

I did not buy any from the collection but I was content with my box of classic macarons. You can tell them to surprise you with their best flavors or you can choose from the several flavors they have.

These macarons actually inspired me to pick up my paint brush and paint some colorful macarons on paper. I will be posting more of that in the near future.

Below are some shots of my IG stories because I have not been carrying around my camera. I promise I will do better.
