Reading Time: Alpha Block

Reading time is always fun for Maggie. She loves books filled with life and emotion so me and Elias always have to get into character before reading to her. She keeps giving us the same book over and over which can get pretty redundant after a while. The other types of books she enjoys are colorful ones such as Alpha Block.

I fell in love with the illustration when I first came across it; it’s very different from other children’s books. Maybe it’s cause the illustrator doesn’t only use primary colors (I hate when illustrators do that). The same goes for toys; many toddler toys are made in bold red, blue, and yellow. That’s why I love B Toys (they use different colors). Did I get off of topic? Yes, I did.

Well back to the reading time. Maggie enjoyed this book very much. It’s focus is on the alphabet and items that start with each letter. Some examples are below. It’s a great book for a toddler who’s learning the relation between letters and words.

Last note: the green rug is from Ikea and the strawberry stool is from Thailand. apologies for how I look in the photo. It was Saturday morning and Maggie woke me up to read to her. A mother’s gotta do what a mother’s got to do right?
