Hi there, and welcome to The Style Spread! You can call me Desiree, the creator of this little space on the internet. Currently, I am based in New York City but I like to think that I am also based in Morocco. Maybe one day I can confidently say that.
I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Advertising and Marketing. I always wanted to work at a women’s fashion magazine but I quickly learned that fashion wasn’t the path for me. However, I will always have a respect for it. I realized that my love had always been foreign cultures, Morocco in particular, and food.
The Style Spread evolved into a place that presents style through travel, food, and culture. A lot of it revolves around French and Moroccan culture. The blog’s name originated from my love for food spreads as well as editorial spreads.
Some of my personal interests include photographing obscurities, obsessing over Morocco, and still trying to be a polyglot. So that would explain why I’m always posting foreign recipes and trying to get my daughter to be trilingual (okay, maybe I’m dreaming too much).
All pictures are taken by me unless stated otherwise. Feel free to share photos from the blog as long as you link back to it. Please and thank you. For any inquiries, shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
