    Highlights of My Life

I was browsing through some images and found some of my favorites. These pictures describe my life at this moment. The image above is a great salad I bought from Trader Joe’s; it’s very tasty! Below you can see some of the groceries I bought and Maggie in the kitchen. Lately, I’ve been showing her how to cook! Yeah you read right. And she loves it. Last night I turned on some melodies (Yann Tiersen to be specific) and sat her down on the counter. She helps me with the beginning process of cooking. After that, the cooking gets intense and her job is over. On another note, I’ve been trying…

    Striped Out

Autumn leaves! I love them and can’t get enough of them. So does Maggie. Everything about autumn is great; the weather and the clothes are to die for. The weather is currently a little off with its global warming but it is definitely appreciated. After all, global warming is another way to say the earth is cleansing itself. That’s something we should all learn from mother earth; we should shed our old skins and build new ones. That’s what being a mother is all about. We have to let go of our past preferences and focus on new ones. And we have to constantly improve ourselves since our children are…

    Swedish American Family Time

We had so much fun this past weekend when we went to a family event at Ikea. The day began really early, at 6:30 to be precise. We had to wake up early to get there in time for Ikea’s Swedish American Breakfast. I never had it so I was excited to try it for the first time. They served eggs, sausage, potatoes, and crepe with cranberry jam. I was so happy they had crepe; I loved crepe ever since I first tried it on Bastille Day. I wasn’t so fond of the bitter cranberry jam though.

    A Mother’s Halloween Horror

This past weekend was all about Halloween. It revolved around the holiday so much that practically every kid was already trick-or-treating Friday night. Then there was me and Magdalene. By Sunday evening, I still had not taken her trick-or-treating. I hadn’t even figured her costume out.

    Rain Rain Go Away

Yesterday was a rainy day. Oh my gosh! It was a horrible day to go out but a wonderful day to stay indoors, watch movies, and possibly cuddle while drinking hot chocolate. I was working but when I got home soaked there was only thing that brightened my day. All of you who are mothers will know what I’m talking about. For me, it was Magdalene. And she definitely made a rainy day appear sunny in that colorful raincoat of hers. I love her in it!

    Scandinavian Haven

Scandinavian decor has been my obsession ever since I became pregnant with Magdalene. It must be something about the pops of color and the illusion of ample space in a room. My favorite room is one with grey and blush rose colors. I can’t wait until Magdalene gets her new room so I can start decorating it. Anywho, above are the items that I’m thinking to purchase for her new room. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
