As the new year approaches, everyone is planning new resolutions to focus on. And that definitely includes me. But before I start rambling on about what I want to be in 2017, I must say I am really thankful for everything that has happened this year. This year I realized my potential in a lot of areas. Before this year began, I was really down about everything. I was mostly worried about my future and anxious that I would never find a good job that I wanted to grow in.
To give a quick summary, I had gone to an interview with United Airlines in December of last year. I made it to the second interview for a flight attendant position but it didn’t work out due to the scheduling conflicts and me being there for Maggie. I was lucky enough to get a position at JFK airport working for Lufthansa as a check-in agent in January. It was an amazing job but the growth opportunities were slim to none. After that, I began working for a non-profit organization and I’m still there; it’s a job that has allowed me to explore other options. It allowed me to start my journey in finding my true aspirations and how I can make them a reality.
